Our open letter to parents: let them play
We've backed the plans to restrict social media for under-16s. Here's why, in a few lines, and where to read the whole letter.

This week, our Managing Director, Suraj Sodha, wrote an open letter to every parent. In it, we back the Government's plans to restrict social media for under-16s.
We know that's not what you usually hear from a trampoline company, so here's the short version.
What the letter says
- We're not anti-screen. Used well, and at the right age, social media can open a child's eyes to the world.
- We are against the algorithm. A feed built to keep an 11-year-old scrolling at 11pm isn't social. It's a business model.
- It's about childhood. The right to be bored on a Tuesday, to skin a knee, and to have a Saturday nobody posted.
Not every family will agree, and that's fine. Parenting is hard enough without a trampoline company telling you how to do it. We'll keep doing what we've always done: making garden time an easy swap for screen time, whenever you're ready.

The Jump Hub is powered by

JumpPRO® is our own range of garden trampolines, designed by the trampolines.co.uk team after helping UK families choose since 2004. Every one is tested to EN 71-14, the European standard for garden trampolines, and they've been picked by The Independent's testers three years running. The same team writes every Jump Hub guide, so if this one didn't answer your question, give us a call.
